Terrence K. Hoya

Birth Date: 12/16/1948
Death Date: 3/25/2004
West Ridge Park Cemetery
Rememberance, Lot 75B, Grave 3

Terry was the second son born to Wally and Carol Hoya. Surprisingly Larry followed nine minutes later. Six boys and one girl were raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After Terry received his master's degree in Environmental Engineering he moved to Indianapolis. He was a dedicated employee who almost completed thirty years of service with the State of Indiana.

In 1975 he married Kathy Killigrew and had four children, Jennifer, Chris, Jon and Matt. T.K. was a loving husband and a proud father. Like his dad, he took lots of pictures of his loved ones. He was a good provider who enjoyed being with family. Terry loved State Parks, museums, and the zoo. He looked forward to doing these things with his granddaughter, Breanna.

Terry was an active member of S. Christopher Catholic Church for almost twenty-eight years. He was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister; he enjoyed doing weekly Communion Services. Terry loved attending Sunday morning Faith Corner and Men's Spirituality Group.

Terry left this world at a young age without giving us a chance to say our good-byes. We find comfort in knowing he was ready spiritually, and someday we'll all be reunited with him in heaven. After Terry attended the penance service on March 24, 2004, he emailed the following prayers he wrote to our pastor, Fr. Mile;

Lord thank you for all the gifts you have given us and please continue to provide us with our needs according to your will. Comfort and heal us from all of our ailments and forgive us for all of the times that we have offended you. Likewise, help us to forgive each other for all of the times that we have hurt one another so that we can grow through reconciliation. May we also grow through faith, hope and love so that we may know that you are part of us and we are part of you and that what we are and who we are is valued. In doing so may we work together on our journey to your kingdom so that we may all come to live with you in peace and happiness forever and ever. Amen.

May your peace be with us always Lord so that with a calm mind and open heart we may see all the beauty that surrounds us everywhere. Help us to turn all of our negatives into positives, to maximize our virtues and to minimize our vices. May we truly know, trust, understand and believe that you are with us always guiding us and protecting us in everything that we do, in your name Lord we pray. Amen.

Lord help us to have a good attitude about ourselves, each other and the world that surrounds us. May we know that you are the Emmanuel (God is with us.), may we be merciful to each other and may we always trust in you now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
