| Jeanne's parents were Virgil Leroy Martin and Loris Frances Lazier Martin and she was born at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 20, 1932. She had two older sisters, Deloris Virginia Martin David Todd Hawkins and Kay Joyce Martin Mitchell, also born in Indianapolis. In 1933 the family moved t Dayton, Ohio and lived there until 1939 when they moved to Belville, New Jersey. They live there until 1943 when they moved back to Indianapolis to help her paternal Grandmother Mamie Martin upon the passing of her Grandfather Edgar Martin. Jeanne finished her grade school education at Indianapolis Public School # 54. It was there she met lifelong friends Phyllis Hicks Matthews and Nancy Rose Rapp. Jeanne graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in June 1950. On July 8, 1950 Jeanne married Fred Richards Kinley at Southport Presbyterian Church. Fred was the son of John Richard Kinley and Zola Elizabeth Richards Kinley. Jeanne and Fred had their first child John David on November 22, 1951. Their second child Becky Ann was born October 22, 1956. Jeanne and Fred joined the Irvington Presbyterian Church on March 22, 1964. Their son John married Sally Jane Herne on august 14, 1971. They had two daughters Kelly Ann Kinley born May 14, 1978 and Karry Ann Kinley born September 17. 1980. Karry Ann is the mother of Colin Cannon born August 3, 1999. John and Sally were divorced. Daughter Becky married Paul Nicholas Corsaro born August 11, 1981. They have three children Peter Joseph Corsaro born August 11, Timothy Kinley Corsaro born on March 15 and Gina Anne Corsaro born March 28. After Jeanne's children were raised and married, she returned to work outside her beloved home. She was a secretary at Irvington Presbyterian Church for several years. After leaving that job, she enjoyed her grandchildren and her great grandson. Her greatest desire was to see al of her grandchildren raised and graduated from high school. After 53 years of marriage to Fred she passed away on December 23, 2002 at home with her family following a three-year battle with lung cancer. |
