Kenneth A. Graham, an elder in the United Church f God, passed away on November 9, 2002 shortly after heart valve replacement surgery. He was born on June 16, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan.
Ken leaves behind his wife Pauline, after more than 59 years of marriage. They met on a blind date in 1942 and were married on July 3, 1943. Shortly thereafter he was sent overseas to India and the China-Burma-India Theater of war. He was discharged in 1946 as a captain in the Army Signal Corps.
Ken also leaves behind two children, Kenneth A. Graham II, and Kristine C. Vincen, and three grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren Graham, and David Vincen.
Ken Graham received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1947. He went on to achieve a maser's degree in automotive engineering from Chrysler Institute in 1949. He worked for Chrysler in the advanced development department, designing products for cars many years before they reached the production stage. He retired in 1985 after 39 years with the company. He had 17 patents to his credit while working at Chrysler. Many are still used today in all vehicles with alternators or automatic transmissions.
Shortly after his retirement Ken and Polly moved to Noblesville, Indiana to be near Kristine and her family.
Ken was ordained as an elder in October of 1965. He was an elder with the Church of God for 37 years. He was a tower of strength, a bastion of fidelity, and a fountain of wisdom to his family and so many people over the years.
Kenneth Graham dedicated his life to God and the congregations of the Church of God. He will be great missed by many. |
