Danny was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the oldest of 7 children. He was a student at St. Phillip's Grade School. He later attended Scecina High School and graduated from Cathedral High School. As a young son Danny collected baseball cards and loved to play baseball and basketball. His main love however was rollerskating and he won his share of trophies. Danny enlisted in the US Army in March of 1968. He served a tour in the Republic of Vietnam from April 1969 until March 1970. His awards included the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. He attained the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged on March 25, 1971. After his military service, Danny attended Indiana University for two years. He worked in the moving industry and later as a maintenance technician. Danny was an avid cook and he loved pleasing those around him with great food. He was his mother's right hand man, besides cooking he always helped around the house including helping with the other children. Danny became a big fan of Indianapolis Colts. Rest in Peace Danny, You surely will be missed.Mom |
