To our mom, the youngest child of her family. You are no longer with us, but you will be in our hearts and thoughts always! You came to America to start a new life, which I'm sure was very difficult. You were a strong willed and determined woman. We're glad you were because you met pop and married, and completed your family.
We know you had some rough waters to tread by coming to America, but as your children, we know that the good times out weighed the bad times.
We miss all of your wonderful cooking, the roasts, cookies, cakes, pies, strudels and the plum dumplings. No one could hold a candle to your cooking. You had a way to make everything take great, and you enjoyed watching everyone enjoying themselves. You got a great satisfaction from that. You would always make enough food, so that everyone would have something to take home. You were always giving and thinking of us.
You had a wonderful smile and a funny sense of humor. You always thought it funny how we said he German words. You would have this look on your face and start laughing until you wouldn't take a breath.
Your family was the most important part of your life, always glad to hear from those living far away. You always talked about the grandkids and what they were doing you were so proud of everyone and the lives they led.
We are thankful for all the years we were together. We will miss your voice and your physical presence.
We know you have gone to a better place, and someday we will all see you again.
With Love, Emil, Joe, Roy and Linda |
