Helen M. Justus Davisson was the first-born child of Walter G. Justus and Katie M. Brinkman on August 2, 1909. She had four brothers and three sisters. She was a member of Wallace Street Presbyterian Church until her death. Helen and Herman Taft Davisson were married in 1926. They had four children, Barbara M. born September 24, 1927, H. Dale born July 1, 1929, Milly L born June 6, 1931 and Thomas L born February 23, 1933. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1936.Helen though petite in size had a big heart for her family and loved ones. She saw to it her children attended church on a regular basis. Helen taught them to love the Lord as she did. No one was more thoughtful then Helen. Her goodness and thoughtfulness influenced those around her. She worked hard to care for her family. Helen worked for her Dad and two brothers, Walter and Henry in the building business. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Helen loved baseball. She attended several outings to Old Victory Field with her friend Gus and watched the Indians play. At the time of her death, thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survived her. |
