Mother, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Aunt, sister-in-law, friend, Minnie. She was a blessing to us all.

A Christian woman, she always accepted what life gave her, never questioning God's will. She believed to be a Christian you attend church and on Sundays she would always ask her children "Did you go to church?" She would sing hymns often and one of her favorites was "Sunshine in my soul."

Today she is rejoicing in the heavenly sunshine and in the presence of Jesus her savior.

She would sing or hum tunes while she did her daily cores and loved to urge her canary to sing along.

She had several activities that she enjoyed/ Tending to her flowers and making her yard beautiful. She was a great euchre player always ready for another game. Watching basketball was another hobby she enjoyed. A great fan of Indiana college teams and the Pacers.

As a devoted Mother, she had busy hands. Minnie's cooking was the best. Most Sunday dinners included fried chicken, German potato salad and strawberry shortcake. Another talent was her creative needlework. She loved to crochet and made lovely bedspreads, delicate table clothes and beautiful dresses and hats. For every new baby in the family, Minnie made baby booties, cap and sweater sets. Each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren was kept warm by Grandma's booties. Additionally, each granddaughter happily received homemade, original fashions for their Barbie dolls.

Minnie has left us all with some of her beauty, which we will all, cherish in years to come.

Speaking of her beauty, one cannot forget her delightful sense of humor, particularly in later years. She was a joy to be around and quite funny at times. The nursing home employees always commented how she brightened up their day with her humorous comments and remarks. We all loved her.

Each member of our family has a special remembrance of her and of the fun times spent with her, especially family birthdays, holidays, and reunions.

She always remembered birthdays and loved getting together for her grandchildren's birthday parties. Remember the reunions at Westlake, the Christmas parties with the $1.00 gift exchanges and the parties in the lounge at the nursing home? Being with her family was important to Minnie. Everyday Norma, Mary Alice, Gene and many times Maggie, Jackie, Dottie, Roy and Bob would visit. This brought her family closer: maybe this is why God graced her with such a long, worthy life.

Her children and grandchildren feel so blessed to have her for there Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. We will always remember your saying and teachings and will keep you in our hearts until we are with you in Heaven.

The Angels in heaven are rejoicing today as one of God's beloved has come home.

Prov: 31:29-31
Her children arise and call her blessed. Many women do noble things-but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give the reward she has earned and let her works bring praise at the city gate.
