| Waclaw was born in Poland in 1912. He had to work at an early age to help support his mother. In the Polish Army at the beginning of World War 2, he was taken to Germany and kept in forced labor camps until the War's end.After the war, he met and married Wladyslawa "Gladys" Gola and they had a son, Walter in 1948. Four years later, they finally had an opportunity to come to America.Waclaw worked hard to support his family, getting a job at Western Electric in maintenance, and staying there for 25 years until his retirement. He loved working with his hands, building, repairing, and staying active until cancer finally weakened his body. His spirit stayed strong until the end. He is missed by those lucky to call him father and friend. |
