Lett (Ryta) of Indianapolis; sister Ruth Evelyn Glazier of Indianapolis; five grandchildren Scott, Steve, and Sarah Showalter, Sara and David Lett; a step-grandchild John Doepker III. Deceased sister Marjorie Lett Schrodt of Tuscolo, Illinois.

Harold was born in Washington, Indiana the son of Hamlet Lett and Flora (Reeve) Lett and was raised on a farm in Washington, Indiana.

Harold loved to play trumpet, receiving many contest awards in high school and playing in the University of Illinois Marching Band. He met his wife Kathryn when he stopped to help her when she was in an auto accident in Peoria, Illinois. They were married December 19, 1940 in Los Angeles, where he was working for Lockhead Aircraft.

Harold's favorite hymn was "Wonderful Words", which was also his mother's favorite. His priority in life was family and he was oh so very proud of his marriage, of his son and daughter and his grandchildren. He developed Parkinson disease, which slowly decreased his ability to work. He was a wonderful father with a gentle and humble spirit. He lives on in our hearts. We look forward to being with him again in Heaven.
