Richard Mark Whitehouse was born March 12, 1941. He grew up in the Brightwood area with his parents Emmet and Helen, five brothers, Mike, Jack, Luke, Jim, Paul, 1 sister, Nancy and a dog named Ratis. Dad delivered papers as a young boy. He worked for Davey Tree and Bordens Dairy for many years. He owned his own tree company called Mark's Tree Service. He was a manager for Triple A Recycling and did maintenance for Anthony Campo & Assoc. As a boy he always found stray puppies to bring home, as an adult he still did this.

He married Patsy Callahan in 1959. They had three children, Sue in 1961, Kitty in 1963 and Richard Mark Jr. in 1966. After their divorce, he married Cynthia Lewis in 1988 and had four stepchildren, Steve, Greg, Tommy and Maryann. Our father drank heavily for many years but became sober in March of 1985. 17 years later, he still was not drinking and was the best dad we could ask for. Dad loved to fish and camp. He also loved to be in a quite place just to reflect on his accomplishments and failures. We called on called to fix things for us and he was always there to do it, whether it was the furnace, the roof or whatever it may have been. We will always miss him everyday and always remember him.The Kids
