| Maeona was born in North Vernon, Indiana on October 20, 1919. She was a typical hard working farm girl. She came to Indianapolis and was employed at the insurance company of Foster and Messick and that is where she met her future husband, Carl. They married after Carl got out of the Army, after World War II, about 1953. Though they had no children, they loved pets, having both cats and dogs. Carl and Maeona both enjoyed riding motorcycles until about 1955. They belonged to VFW Post 2999 and she served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary for three terms. She enjoyed socializing, traveling and bowling with her husband and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. |
