Stacy Lyn Goodwin was born December 29, 1976 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was the second daughter of Pamela Lyn and Paul Eugene Goodwin. Her big sister was Dawn Marie Goodwin, who was born on December 11, 1974. Both girls weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces at birth. As a child growing up, Stacy loved to play house. She was the talk of the Meridian Woods Park neighborhood about her creative houses that she masterfully outlined on the front yard. She loved shoes, as a youngster she would wear her mother's high heels, which she walked better in them than her mother. She tried softball, dance and gymnastics but never really found them to her liking. After winning the Hillview Country Club Father/Son and Mother/Daughter golf tourney 2 years in a row with her father, Hillview changed tourney name to Parent/Child in her honor. She collected Cabbage Patch Dolls and later Taze items from key chains, dolls, towels, and sheets and on and on. In addition, she loved shoes, candles, moons, stars and the color purple. She was a dreamer complete with dreamer catchers. Stacy struggled as a student, she tried hard, but schoolwork was not easy for her. She tutored with one of her elementary school teachers for several years. She graduated from Perry Meridian in June 1995. After that, she tried several things, nursing, restaurant hostess, college student, EMT training and tanning salon owner, but could not find the one she was looking for.Stacy met Steve Crihfield in the fall of 1999. They were perfect for each other. They became best friends and fell in love. On July 22, 2000, they were married in Franklin at Grace United Methodist Church. After that, life moved fast for her, she became a wife, homemaker and mother. On May 7, 2001, Gabriella Lyn Crihfield, all 6 pounds 6 ounces of her, was born. She had her Mother's big blue eyes. Stacy and Steve were very proud of her; Gabie, as Stacy called her, was a very good and special baby.Stacy found what she had been looking for in marriage and motherhood. She was happy, proud and satisfied. Then her life suddenly came to an untimely end on August 27, 2001.Stacy wanted to be loved and respected by family and friends. While she's not with us now, she will always be loved and respected by family and friends.
