John H. Enochs been and raised in Linton, Indiana, married to Barbara McCullough for 48 years, raising five wonderful children and retired from IBM after 31 years of service.John was a loving family man who believed strongly in family values.John a 'Handy Man' to his friends and family could fix anything from leaking faucets to the leaking (crying) eyes of his children. He stood strong and tall through the death of John II one of his younger sons. Only to be thrown another blow with the death of his only daughter. One would never know how he suffered inside. John and Barbara always took the children on family vacations and camping. Starting out with the old familiar converted school bus, to the pop-up and on to bigger and better travel trailer. John and Barbara were permanent campers at Old Mill Run for 22 years. They enjoyed having the kids, grandkids and later great-grandkids up fir long weekends and family cookouts.John was one of a kind and will always be in the hearts of his family and friends.'Truly a great man.'John had many names and wore many hats.Rather he was 'honey', 'Dad', 'Uncle John' or 'PawPaw' to you. He was and is our Hero'.

John and Barbara at their second home 22 years at Old Mill Run. "If trailer is rocking don't come knocking".

Johnny was champion horse shoe pitcher at many McCollough and Enochs Reunion's. "Is his leg to short or his his shorts to long?"

With Daily Racing form tucked neatly under his arm. "Well, I'm off to check at the next group of runners in the paddock."

What a happy face. Coke Cola should have paid him for the advertisement, put's a smile on anyone's face.

Let freedom ring.

Vacationing with Aunt Clistie, large Budweiser wagon is the only thing that ever dwarfed "Big John".

She would often talk to her departing guests through the car window making leaving difficult. We would always worry about running over her feet. 8 1848 pic_9 Josephine loved classical music and opera. Some of her grandkids are shown here playing her piano. In her files are many clippings of the Symphonette as well as the Kokomo Symphony Orchestra. She served on the Advisory Board for both. 9 1848 pic_10 This poem is a great closure to this family legacy and a most appropriate honor to its author, Josephine Emily Phillips.
