| Daddy never climbed Mt. Everest, or made the Guinness Book of World Records. He never read the classics, or saw an original painting. He was born poor and in spite of working hard all of his life, he only achieved moderate success. He was proud, self-taught, and faithful to his God. If he had hidden dreams, other than being a good father, and a loving husband, no ever knew about them. If regrets, fears, or doubts tormented him, he never stated them. Our entire life he was always there for us, then in a brief moment, he was gone, and our whole universe changed forever. It felt like a kite without a string. Now, all we have is the love that he left us in the footprints of an ordinary man, our Dad. |
