My future wife and I met during the summer of 1950 at Tennessee A&I State College. She was attending to complete requirements for her B.S. Degree in Business Education. At that time, she was a teacher in her hometown of Rockwood, Tennessee. In April of 1951, we were married and remained so until her death on March 27, 2001.She was the mother of four daughters, three grandchildren 4 step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Vivian came from a religious background and maintained that devotion to God throughout her life. She held many positions in Mississippi, Tennessee and Indiana. She retired from Wishard Memorial Hospital after serving 22 years. She was the kind of person that everyone she met truly loved and admired her. Her friends, family and co-workers genuinely loved her. She left a very heavy heart in the lives of those who loved her. |
