| Harlan was born and raised on a farm in Corydon, Indiana. He enlisted in the Navy and served from 1943 -1945. He later attended and graduated from Purdue University. Harlan later moved to Greenfield, Indiana, where he worked for 30 years as the County Manager and Treasurer for the Hancock County Farm Bureau Co-op. Harlan's hobbies included gardening, playing bridge and attending his son's sporting events. |
