Our mother has portrayed many special roles. Each one she managed with ultimate strength and dignity. Her beginning role as a child was experienced without the presence of a mother. Being raised by her father and siblings, she grew up acquiring many great qualities. As a wife, she was responsible, trustworthy and devoted. She had an undying love for our father that remained strong to the end. Being a mother was the ultimate achievement for our mom. Not one of us for a moment ever questioned her love. We were never alone through any experience, good or bad. She never let us down, and we could always count on her support. She made us a priority and continually kept us on the right path. She became a 'Mamaw' to seven wonderful children. This we believe was her most joyous role. One of her famous sayings was, 'Don't you know, Mamaw knows everything.' Her motherly advice contributed to each grandchild's life. Another role, that brought excitement and playfulness to our mother. She loved to gamble! Vegas was, as she called it, 'Her magic town'. The anticipation of hitting big provided her with hours and hours of pleasure. She had to work two jobs to make these trips. These trips allowed her to release her seriousness and experience a childlike happiness. This wonderful woman will be missed terribly. She influenced our lives in so many special ways. The best way to honor her is to allow her memory to live through us every single day.We Love You, Mom.
