| Betty and I first met in Church in Brightwood. We both grew up in the same church. What started us seeing each other was the Betty's mother needed some phone wire and she put Betty up to asking me for it. Betty not only got the wire, she got me, too.Betty and I went together, on and off, for about 8 years before we got married on August 23, 1970. We grew in the way of the Lord Jesus and we had two children, Daniel Lee and Beverly Ann. Betty was so proud of our.We liked to travel to places in the US. We have camped almost everywhere we went and enjoyed nature. I am into trains as was her Grandfather, Ford Jefferson, who by the way is entombed at WPE Rotunda 3, the same as Betty. Ford worked for the New York Central Railroad. Betty and I both liked trains. We would ride them when we could or just look at them. Betty had medical problems in the form of seizures, which would cause affects to her motor skills of the brain. In February of 2001, Betty and I took a trip to Texas we stayed with friends, who go there to winter each year. This was the last trip we took together for she passed away in my arms at 1:14 May 10th.I, too, one day will be with her again and we will ride the rails on our Gods railway.To David and Jan Hammack, Thank you for the best time in Texas! |

Betty graduated from High School in 1973 after she was married. She is being congradulated by her mother-in-law Helen Pauline Burrows.
