Joe was the first child born to Chaile and Mary LaFollette. He was brother to Jack and Ruth. Joe attended Florence Fay School # 21 and graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. In the 1960's with the Vietnam War going on Joe joined the US Army and was awarded the medal of Purple Heart. Returning to civilian life brought Joe back home to live with his parents. There he remained until their deaths. Joe never married. Joe had Neurofibromatosis type II (NF-2), his mother and maternal grandmother both had type II and I. Being a man of few needs allowed Joe contentment with what surrounded him. He worked hard and took pride in whatever job he held. Joe was a kind and generous man with good friends and good intentions. Many sadly miss, Joe. |
