Ernie Lee Moore was born to Harold and Vera Moore on December 3, 1946; they resided in Mars Hill area of Indianapolis. He grew up with one brother, Roy and four sisters, Kay, Joyce, Patsy and Doris. He went to school at Arsenal Technical High School.
Ernie was a great worker and liked by everyone. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 33 + years before cancer took his life six weeks after he retired.
He was a loving husband, Dad and Grandpa. He had three daughters, Candy, Rhonda and Tammy; two son, Troy and Brian; ten grandchildren, Cody, Dustin, Aaron, Ryan, Steffie, Tiffie, Amber, Kathie, Corey and Ricki.
Ricki was a very special one. We brought her home from the hospital, and raised her from birth. Ricki was now our daughter by adoption.
Ernie lived his last twenty-four years in Hancock County after he married Mavis Jacqueline Bullock. Ernie was a good man he tried to help everyone. He never met a stranger.
Ernie had an RV and he loved to go camping, and taking long trips. He was planning to travel after he retired, but that wasn't to be. Ernie loved to go boating with his family and friends at Ford, they would take a river boat ride from Madison, Indiana to Franklin, Kentucky and spend the night in a hotel and back the next day.
The last ten years of his life, him and his wife, and granddaughter would go on cruises, about two a year.
Most of all Ernie was a good loving husband, I never would want for anything and I sure love him, and miss him. I will always love him for all the things he did for me. |
