On June 15, 1945, Bonnie K. Portteus was born to Earl and Cora (Boles) Portteus of Noblesville, Indiana. Bonnie had lived in Noblesville for her whole life. For 30 years, Bonnie was a material handler for Firestone Industrial retiring in 1997.Bonnie was the mother of Troy Douglas Cox and Angela Marie Oliver. Troy has four children and Angela has one. She adored her children and cherished her grandchildren. On June 27, 1987, Bonnie married Charles (aka Charlie) Ray Bowling at the Clarksville Christian Church. As a devoted wife, Bonnie supported Charlie through his battle with cancer. After retirement, Bonnie worked part-time at a local women's clothing store. When asking Bonnie about her job she would say, 'I hate my job, but I love the discount that I get'. She would buy beautiful formal gowns from the store, many of which still had the price tag hanging on them. On her time off, Bonnie would always find time to enjoy the sun. Whether it was lying in the sun to get a tan or riding in a boat on the lake, Bonnie enjoyed being outside. Bonnie enjoyed the beaches in Florida and taking cruises to the Bahamas, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.Bonnie was a fun, people oriented person. Wherever the party, there was Bonnie being the center of attention. She always had a huge smile on her face laughing and telling jokes was what made Bonnie unique. Bonnie could always make you smile with her laughter. On November 17, 2000, the lord called Bonnie to his kingdom of eternal life. We will always cherish the many special memories of Bonnie in our hearts. Until we see her gain, we love Bonnie.
