| Havord graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, June 1942. He was in the US Navy from 1942 - 1945 as a Aviation Machinist mate 3-C on the USS Kalinen Bay. He retired from Eli Lilly Company as a machinist after employment of 36 years. |
