Donald Richard Hale, 69, a life long resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, died September 29, 2001. He worked 20 years as a salesman and several years as a Deputy Assessor for Lawrence and Washington Townships. Mr. Hale was a Sergeant in the Army and fought in the Korean War. He was also a member of the Ripcords Quartet and the Indianapolis Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America. (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.).He retired in 1982 and enjoyed time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He was a committed, caring and loving husband, a devoted father, a fun and funny grandfather and a loyal friend. Don can best be described as an unselfish man. Whether serving his country, or serving his family and friends. He lived his life for others. We know there is a little more laughter in Heaven because he is there. |
