| Alma was born March 3, 1904, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She met Frank Berck in 1923. He was 21 and she was 19, they married later the same year in Greenfield, Indiana. They had four children, Betty DeHart, John Berck who is deceased, Joann Etherton and Don Berck who is also deceased. She had eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her business career included employment at the State of Indiana offices and L.S. Ayres, both in Indianapolis. She lived 6+ years in the Americana Nursing home and died of complications on July 8, 1987. |
