A loving tribute from daughter, Nancy. You had to be both mother and father and I know it wasn't easy. Many times your own dreams had to be put on hold; any of your own interests had to go unexplored, because there wasn't enough hours in the day. You did it all alone and yet I never felt deprived, cheated or neglected. I always felt accepted, secure and loved. For this I will always be grateful. Whatever else you accomplished, you may be sure of this, you raised a grateful daughter who will always love you. |

The only way Thelma would have her picture taken was with the Christmas Tree, so they dragged the tree to the door.
Thelma, as a child just "clowning around."
One of the few times Thelma smiled at the camera.
Thelma grew up to be a very attractive young woman.

Thelma's husband, John, died at age 42. This was one of their happoer times a few years before John's untimely dath.
Some of Thelma's happiest times in later life was holding her daughter's dog, her namesake, Wilhelmina, they both napped a lot!
