All that knew Beverly were blessed. For she was the kindest and gentlest lady you would ever meet. She didn't have an unkind word about anyone or a mean bone in her body.Who was this understanding mother and supportive friend?Beverly grew up in Frankfort, Indiana. She had a brother and a sister. Phyllis knew Beverly as a very loving sister, playmate and confidant. She was married to David for 52 years. Beverly was his wife and best friend. She had three children, Michael, Margo, Marsha and a stepdaughter, Donna Jean, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.Beverly was a wife, mother and a successful businesswoman. She was a self-employed beautician for 37 years. Mom could always be found in her garden or working in the yard with her flowers. She enjoyed her coffee, Oreo cookies and Hershey with almonds bar and would keep a Milky Way in the freezer. She loved crossword puzzles, card games and would play the game, 'Aggravation' with the grandkids. She read 'Pablo the Penguin' and 'Mickey Mouse' to them often. When we were teenagers mom would make popcorn and fudge. She was a great cook! For the last couple of days we have been sharing our favorite storied and memories. These are some special moments we want to share with all of you.Michael's first memory in life of his mother was she taught him to dance on the living room floor, and to tie a tie.She taught us that an aloe plant could cure almost any ailment. She made us beautiful Afghans! We loved her bread and butter pickles.Do we all remember grandma's yellow cookie jar with the smiley face? When Pat was born, Beverly wrapped all the bushes in the front yard with blue ribbons so when Eric got off the school bus he would know he had a new brother. When it rained, she would sit on the porch swing and enjoy the day.Beverly was a dedicated church worker. A surrogate mother her children's friends. More like a Mother than a Mother-in-Law to her children's spouses.Dearest Beverly, you were our mother, wife and friend. We miss you and will think of you every day of our lives. We love you always.
