| Mrs. Eva Lee Dean, daughter of the late John Wesley and Belle Dean, was born on November 26, 1890, in Greenburg, Kentucky.She was united in holy matrimony to the late Charles Dean.She accepted Christ and united with Messiah Missionary Baptist Church, where she was on the Mother's Board and served as long as her health permitted.After a lengthy illness, Mrs. Dean departed this life, on August 22, 1989, at the age of 98 years, 8 months and 26 days. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Mrs. Emma M. Caruthers; a son Mr. Orlando John Gordon; and a host of others relatives and friends. Psalm 14:1-6The fool haith said in his heart. 'There is no God': They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand; and seek God.They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? Who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the lord is his refuge. |
