Paul Shepherd was a family man. He loved his parents and was faithful and caring for them until their death. He also loved his wife and two sons, and was never afraid to say, 'I love you.' He was always there with emotional support. After graduation from high school, he worked approximately 30 years for REA Express until they closed business. He served with the US Army, during the Korean Conflict, from 1952 to 1954. The last 3 years of his life, he worked for General Motors Corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana. He provided a comfortable life style for his family. He was a man of integrity and devoted Christian. He was faithful to his church, where he served in various capacities. He served on boards, was a Sunday school teacher, and Sunday school bus driver, youth leader, etc. By his example, he taught his children the difference between right and wrong. We, his family are very fortunate to have had a husband and dad who was such a great example and so caring and kind. Our hope is to leave that same kind of legacy for our children and all the generations that follow. In his memory, we have established a scholarship at Indiana Wesleyan University for the training of ministers. |
