Mary LaVonne Edwards Crawford Hartzell, formerly of Noblesville died March 5, 2001 in Plainfield, Indiana. She was born in Eagletown on December 29, 1911 and later moved with her family to Noblesville, where she resided until she married. Myra studied piano and organs as a child and was an accomplished musician. Her first job was playing the piano for silent movies in the theater. She later went on to become an organist pianist in various churches in Indiana and Bartlow, Florida. She played for several gospel quartets over the years and was active in Home Economics and craft clubs. Myra moved to Bartlow, Florida in 1990, where she was an organist for the Wildwood Baptist Church, She also played for residents at the Rohr Nursing Home in Bartlow on a weekly basis. In 1995 Myra moved to Plainfield, Indiana Health Care Center, due to Alzheimer Disease. There she continued playing the piano. Myra was preceded in death by her husband Donald, 1970 and her son Charles Ray Crawford in 1981. She is survived by three daughters; Carolyn Hanson, husband, Donald of Potomac, Montana; Donna Edmondson, husband, David, Weaverville, North Carolina; Judith Reasner, husband, William of Haddonfield, New Jersey and a daughter-in-law Pat Crawford. Myra had 12 grandchildren, 3 deceased and 3 great great grandchildren.Services were held March 9, 2001 at Randall Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville with interment at Oaklawn Cemetery in Fishers, Indiana. The services were conducted by; son-in-law, Rev. William S. Reasner, Senior Pastor of Haddonfield United Methodist Church, Haddonfield, New Jersey. |
