Helen Marie Worland

Birth Date: 11/29/1931
Death Date: 5/4/2001
Washington Park North Cemetery
Court of Eternal Liberty, Section 6 N, Level 5, Crypt 60 D

Helen was married to Donald for 51 years, 1 month and 2 days. She had two daughters, Donna and Susan and four granddaughters, Kacie, Kelli, Sarah and Jennifer. She was proud of the three older granddaughters going to college. Helen retired from Visiting Nurse Association in 1994. Previously, she worked at Wishard, IU and Riley Hospitals and IU School of Dentistry. She returned to work part-time at Clarian Health in 1997. Her first job was at Craig's Candy in the 1940's. If there were one word to describe Helen's life, it would be family. She made family her number one priority. She always provided for her husband, daughters and granddaughters before her needs. The family was blessed to have Helen in their lives. She was loving, caring and instructional. She was active with a ladies euchre club for 28 years. She enjoyed yard sales with her youngest granddaughter. She and her husband Don joined square dancing in the mid 60's. Her home was always open to all. She cared for, cooked for and entertained. If you left Helen's home hungry, it was your own fault. She was artistic and creative. She played the organ by ear. She was an excellent housekeeper and her yard was full of flowers she planted. The family hopes you enjoy her legacy.
