Marion Raymond Weber was a son, a brother, a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His favorite child was the one sitting on his lap at that very moment. Marion retired as a quality control engineer for a company now known as Roach. He was part of many new technologies over the years and if asked could tell you about all of them. He was, to the very end, a Navy Man. Four years of active service with an honorable discharge, rank of Mechanist Mate Third Class and sixteen years in the Civilian Navy at Naval Avionics. He could tell a story; some about the Navy, some about his life and most just to make you smile, even if they were sometimes stretched ever so slightly. He came from a big loving family. The fifth child of eight; he was named after a very large mining shovel that his father operated. He loved books and to read the newspaper from cover to cover. He loved God and his belief in God got him through many trails in his life. Things like being at war, losing a son at age 7 to leukemia, several illnesses, 23 years of heart disease, two open-heart operations and finally lung cancer. We were very lucky to have Marion in our lives. He gave his wife 54 years of marriage, his children all the love in the world and taught us to be proud to be a part of the USA. There is no question in my heart; the greatest dad in the world is waiting for us in Heaven. In time, we will all be with him again. |
