| Nathan Gore, Sr., 85, Indianapolis, Indiana, died June 14. He was a sexton 32 years for Christ Church Cathedral. He received the Unsung Hero Award for Service to Mankind from the Madame C.J. Walker National Council of Negro Business and Professional Women's Club. He was named layman of the year in 1995 by Allen Chapel AME Church, of which he was a member. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Jones Gore; children Nathaniel Gore, Jr., John Paul Gore Sr., Rose Marie Gore Bigbee; brother Robert Gore; sister Emma Gore Eastman; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. |
