Memories of 1900

To Thelma Beatrice Rose Reid

This date reminds me of days gone by,
Of struggles and joys untold;
For days when you were little I sigh,
And I was not so old.
The future ahead may look dreary,
Or it may be sunny and bright;
Whatever, they be dull or cheery,
I hope you are happy tonight.

Written by Mother Nelia McCullaugh.

Thelma was a beauty operator. She could do any kind of handy work.
She made beautiful sweaters and gowns. Photo of Thelma B. Rose Reid with her parents Henry Thomas Rose and Nelia Daisy Bruce Rose McCullaugh, in 1913.
