Helen Jean was born on November 17, 1936 in Indianapolis. She was the second daughter of Roger and Frances Miner. She had a son David and a daughter Karen by a previous marriage. She also had six grandchildren. She never met a stranger and always loved to laugh and made your day brighter just by being with you.
She and Don were married on November 10, 1965. They celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary on November 10, 2000. They also knew each other back in 1952 as teenagers. Don was in the Army and they traveled to different places during the 22 years in the military. She moved back to Indianapolis in October 1987. She worked in the Self Storage industry for 6 years, retiring in 1999.
She loved Deer's, Garage Sales, Fishing, Dancing, Crocheting and Needlepoint. Her faith in God and her sense of humor made the end of her life easier on her family and friends. Like when our nephew came to see her and was ready to leave, he would not kiss her good bye and she said, why? Well, he had a cold and did not want to give it to her. |
