Death Date: 12/29/2000
Calvary Cemetery
Section 20, Row 15, Lot 2, Grave 2

Kathleen M. Casserly, above all, loved life and her family. Her obituary said she was a 'homemaker'. That sounds so simple. Yet, she embraced it and the many nuances that word contains. She made her home a welcoming place that her sons and their families could always return to, whether in success or failure. It didn't matter. She'd throw her arms around them if they'd let her and she would plant a nice wet kiss on each one.

She loved to entertain and planning, dinners for the holidays that was always a delight. She excelled at certain foods and it pleased her, I think, that people asked for them time after time again. She made the best fudge, potato salad, sugar cookies, Mexican wedding cookies, deviled eggs, pumpkin pies, and carrot cake.
.
Above all else, she loved God, her church and her husband. She stood unabashedly as a proud, devout Catholic. She was married to the same man Tom, the love of her life for 58 years. He took care of her in her last few years, and has left us children a legacy of love and patience that few of us can ever match.
