| Richard was born January 17,1937 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Richard had an 18 month old brother named Tom. Tom had a problem saying Richard Lee and the neighborhood kids thought he was saying Terry and that nickname stuck forever. Terry's family always lived on the Westside of Indianapolis and therefore he attended School #67 and G.W. High School, making friendships there that lasted his lifetime. Shortly after graduation, Terry began dating Donna, who was still a Senior at the same high school he attended. On September 15, 1957 they were married in Speedway Christian Church. Terry began working at Western Electric in 1956 and transferred later to Indiana Bell (Ameritech), retiring in 1993. Terry and Donna had three sons Scott in 1960, Todd in 1963 and Craig in 1967. Terry's boys were the delight of his life. All three boys were raised in Pike Township in a home with a big yard, providing a perfect place for father and sons to play. Terry coached the boys in Little League and basketball, sharing his love of sports with them. That yard was also a place to create fun times with his three grandsons. He created very inventive games to play with them. |

Sports and outdoor activities were always important in Terry's life. Terry ran the "Mini Marathon" five times, starting at age 50.
