| My father Dennis Ivory Gee, son of Beatrice Avery Gee and Willie C. Gee was born in the city of Cartage, Mississippi on May 5,1940. Daddy grew up in a religious and educational background. His mother was a school teacher and his father a chicken farmer. He belonged to the Center Hill Baptist Church and was baptiized at an early age. My father graduated from Conway Vocational High School, completing his colloge education at the University of Mississippi and an additional vocational trade. Employed for eleven years at Uniroyal Tire and Rubber Company, Indiana Trucking Equipment and for Nortside Cab Company. I love and miss my father so much. He was the best dad a girl could have. To this day I've never saw eyes as beautiful as his. He truely is Gee Whiz as Carla Thomas famous song states. |
