Elsie Rose Olsen was born on September 5, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas. Her mother. Rosalie Elsie Cox and her father John Edwin Olsen, relocated to Cabool, Missouri in 1950, along with her brother, John Edwin Olsen, Jr. and her sister, Anna Marie. Elsie was talented and very active in school, participating in drama, cheerleading and chorus. In 1956 she married her high school sweetheart, William Benjamin Hicks. They had two daughters, Joi Rose was born on May 8,1957 and Pamela Jane was born on September 26,1959. Although they decided to end their marriage, Elsie and Bill continued to have a bond throughout the rest of her life. In 1978 Elsie married Donald Eugene Farmer. Living in Indianapolis, Indiana, Elsie and Don shared a wonderful life together that included lots of travel and happy times with family and friends. During this time she owned a printing business. In her later years, Elsie cherished time spent with her grandchildren, Beau and Lacey Ray and Holly and Sean Irwin. |
