William H. Parker, son of John and Bertha Parker, was born in Beckley, West Virginia. He was a Mortician, Funeral Director, Barber, Mason and Deacon at New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers, Arlene Clark, Nancy Evans, James, John and Clarance Parker. William served in the U.S. Army for three years, ten months and 26 days. He served in the Battlest Campaigns, Northern France Rhineland Central. Decorations and Citations are the American Theater Ribbon European, African, Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and W.W.II Victory Medal. PFC William H. Parker was Honorably Discharged from Ft. Knox, KY on 1/2/1946.
