| Mr. Strong, 54 of Indianapolis, IN, son of the late Jim and Lula Deaton Strong, was born and raised in Whick, Kentucky. He and wife, Pauline lived in Alias, Kentucky where he worked as a coal miner prior to moving to Indianapolis, IN in 1951. Mr. Strong worked as a setup foreman for Dual Machine and Tool Corporation in Indianapolis, IN for 17 years. A lover of bluegrass music, he had performed with his son Allen of the "Bluegrass Partners" and The Jimmie Skinner Band for the Coal Miners Benefit Show in Hyden, Kentucky in April of 2000. |
